Wellington West Proudly Sponsored The University Of Winnipeg's 40th Anniversary Homecoming
On September 15, 1967 – 40 years ago – United College received its Charter to become The University of Winnipeg. Clearsight was proud to be the title sponsor to commemorate this significant occasion by participating in the events taking place during their 2007 Homecoming Weekend. The University of Winnipeg reconnected their alumni with events including a Gala Dinner, Class Reunion activities, tours, lectures, and dramatic performances. It was an honour to celebrate this milestone with the Winnipeg community. Lloyd Axworthy, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Winnipeg, opened the festivities with the State of the University Address in Convocation Hall. The weekend was not only a great time to reunite with old friends, but also the perfect opportunity time to learn more about the exciting new developments and capital construction projects underway at their alma mater.
We would like to congratulate the staff, alumni and friends for such a successful homecoming weekend! We look forward to working with the University of Winnipeg in the years to come to build a successful university program for UWinnipeg alumni members.
